Petpalooza!

CCHS's Petpalooza, the only event in Cowley County where dogs are requested to attend, is right around the corner! Not only will there be big dog/small dog parks, vendors, silent auction, contests, cake walk, and more, but you can visit with shelter dogs on location! Who knows, you might go home with a new four-legged friend!

Members Wanted!

It's that time of year where we are starting our membership drive. How many reasons are there to become a member? Almost 3,000! That's how many animals come through our door every year. They all need help and we are here to give it to them. Our efforts cost money and over 70% of our funding comes from donations, sponsorships, memberships, fundraising and grants. A membership is $20 a year and makes a huge difference in the shelter animals' lives! Read more here: 

You see, we are not only here for the animals, but we also help out the community. We provide a safe place for unwanted animals, so they are not dumped in the country or roam the streets of our towns. We offer a solution for those people who are no longer able to care for their pets. We spay and neuter all adoptable animals, so that only altered pets are placed in the community, reducing the number of unwanted animals.

Garage Sale

Garage sale coming up on Saturday, July 11^th at the Winfield Fairgrounds. Our sale is located in building #8 and open from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Fill a bag for $5 and/or check out the individually priced items. All that shopping make you hungry? We’ve got you covered! Enjoy a Creekstone cheeseburger meal (11 a.m.-1 p.m., includes cheeseburger, chips, cookie, and water), sponsored by Creekstone Farms and Country Mart, for only $5! We’ll have something for everyone! All proceeds benefit the shelter.

Have “stuff” you need to get rid of? We’ll take it! Donations for our garage sale can be left at the shelter any day during business hours or at the fairgrounds on July 10^th from 6-7 p.m. We can also pick up items-just message us on Facebook or email ccasdirector@skyerock.net!

Kittens, Kittens, and More Kittens! Cats and Dogs Too!

June is Adopt A Shelter Cat Month and cats is what we have! Our adoption fees are ridiculously low, so come on out and find your new companion. Are you a dog person? No problem! We're also having a dog adoption special later this month. 

Jefferson Students Raised Money for the Shelter

Jefferson Elementary School students and staff dedicated the proceeds of their annual art auction to CCHS and raised around $1,300! The kids did an amazing job--thank you so much to all who participated and bid!

The Great Catsby

Once again Baden Hall in Winfield was decked out to receive guests for our annual wine tasting and auction event on Apr 11, 2015! The Great Catsby was the name of the game and what a fun shindig it was! Time flew as our guests tasted wine and finger foods, bid on over 100 silent and live auction items, bought raffle tickets, tried their luck at the wine toss and enjoyed sparkling wine at their tables. Shane Farley was emcee of the evening. Thanks to our donors, sponsors, board members, volunteers and guests, $12,500 went to the shelter animals!
