Two Girls With a Plan

Alyssa and Sadie Cohrs are Individual Girl Members of the Girl Scouts--due to their busy schedules they are not able to be part of a troop, but can do the same activities that girls in troops do.

One of these activities is community service. Alyssa and Sadie both want to be veterinarians and they love animals, so they decided to organize a dog wash to benefit dogs, their owners and the animals at the shelter.

Alyssa and Sadie were not able to do the dog wash at home, so they approached Two Rivers Co-op in Ark City to ask if they could use the store's dog washing station. Not only did the owners say "yes", but also donated all supplies!

On a Saturday morning, the girls and their family bathed, blow-dried and beautified numerous dogs in exchange for a donation. Their hard work paid off and they donated $182 to the shelter! Thank you,
Alyssa, Sadie, their family, and Two Rivers Co-op!

Lana, who was adopted from CCHS, gets her pedicure

Ty, a schipperke, receives a blow-dry after his bath.

Rudi loves the attention!

Ms. Lana is all done, painted nails and bow included!
