Whatever Happened to Baby Girl?

Meet Baby Girl. She was found on the streets of Ark City and brought in as a stray. This 2-year old Great Pyrenees mix was not only skinny, but also had a broken hind leg and a major infection. Despite her ordeal, Baby Girl was nothing but sweet and loving. Thanks to our supporters, we were able to take this precious girl to Ark Vet Associates to give her the care she needed. Her broken leg was amputated and a foster home was found where Baby Girl was given a chance to heal. Being a tripod didn't slow this sweetheart down, and she was recently adopted!

Each year we take in many animals who need special care, but we only have limited resources. Next year, we are facing a $7,500 budget cut by the County. We need members and sponsors now more than ever! Please consider becoming a member for $20 a year, so we can help more animals like Baby Girl. You can become a member through our website www.cowleycountyhumanesociety.org (click on "membership") or by sending a payment directly to the shelter. You will receive a membership magnet as a small thank you from us, but the animals, whose lives will be saved, will thank you forever!

CCHS is 501c3 non-profit organization, meaning donations are tax-deductible.
